For any student who dreams of a career in performing arts, our performing arts careers and work experience day will help you decide if it’s the career for you, give you some work experience and help you with your applications.

The morning is centred around your applications. We’ll discuss all of your options and exactly what you need to do in order to get that elusive training place.

When it comes to your applications, you’ll need to know the exact route to take to succeed in a career in the performing arts and also demonstrate you have thoroughly researched the career. By the end of today you’ll have done just that.

In the afternoon we’ll concentrate on giving you some meaningful work experience that you can use in your applications to university.

The industry is fiercely competitive and employs large numbers of highly qualified people. Roles in the sector are diverse, not all are performance related and most are drawing in people with a range of qualifications, skills and experience.

In your afternoon session you’ll be tutored by practicing West End musical theatre performers and encouraged to join in with a masterclass on musical theatre. A live Q&A session follow and at the end of the day you’ll receive a certificate that you can use in your applications too.

It’s our aim that by the end of the day you’ll have a better understanding of how the industry works, know what you need to do for a successful application and have some great material to use in your applications to help you secure a place.
